ALABAMA CREW
The Alabama Crew Club will host the 10th Annual Row Tide Regatta on Saturday, March 22nd, 2008 at 8:00am. Teams from Vanderbilt, LSU, South Carolina, Rhodes, and Rice are likely to attend. Racing will take place on the Black Warrior River between the McFarland and Lurleen Wallace bridges, and can be watched from University Park or at the boathouse.
It is free to attend, and we will have concessions and merchandise for sale at the boathouse. Visit www.alabamacrew.com for directions or more info about the regatta.
Basic Information
Since 1987 we've been rowing on the Black Warrior River. Currently, the Alabama Crew Club is only open to Men. In the Spring of 2005, a select group attended the largest collegiate regatta in the US—Dad Vails Regatta held in Philidelphia, PA. We also attended an even bigger regatta—the Head of the Charles held in Boston, MA. The club finished in the top 5%. Not only do we row together, but crew get-togethers are constant (cook-outs, etc.) and we're always looking for new things to do together. Checkout our website for more information.
