ALABAMA WATER SKI TEAM
Basic Information:
The University of Alabama Water Ski Team competes around the country in the three traditional events of water skiing (Slalom, Trick, and Jump). The Water Ski team includes an A-team and a B-team. The A-team consists of 6 males and 6 females. The B-team includes other club members who want to compete at our tournaments. Our official practice site is Lake Harris in Tuscaloosa. The team has exclusive rights to ski on the lake with the team MasterCraft. We have placed in the top 10 at the last two Nationals. Throughout the year, we may travel to places such as Auburn, South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina for interconference events. Within the last two years, we have even traveled to Florida, California, and Louisiana for regional and national competitions. All-star skiers and skiers trying to qualify for the National Collegiate Team will travel to Illinois in May. Those who make the team will go on to compete in Beijing, China. Next year our team will travel to Arizona for Collegiate Nationals.
