SRC David M. Kimani GIFT Award
David Kimani began working with University Recreation in July of 2000. His stay with us was far too short, but in that time he made a lasting impression on the staff and patrons of the Student Recreation Center. His smile was infectious and his spirit was unassailable. He will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. He was truly a gift.
University Recreation recognizes, each semester, a student that exemplifies the highest levels of customer service. The award: The David M. Kimani "GIFT" of Customer Service, is named in honor of a fallen friend and a remarkable spirit. GIFT is an acronym representing what customer service means to University Recreation; Greeting the customer, Informing the customer with a Friendly smile, and Treating every customer with the highest level of respect.
